The City of Vancouver is considering a policy to enable up to 6 strata ownership units or 8 secured purpose-built rental units on a single-family lot through expanded multiplex construction. This policy would decrease the size of the total floor area of a new single-family detached house on such lots, from the current limitation of 2,800 sq ft to 2,400 sq ft.
